about me
Danielle Leef resides in Southampton, NY. She was inspired by her late mother's love of photography, especially shots of the natural world around her, to pursue her own interest in taking photos. Her initial photographs focused on closeups of flowers that she encountered both locally and outside of Long Island. She has since expanded to other nature shots such as scenic landscapes and ocean/beach scenes, most commonly on the
local bodies of water, which provide many opportune shots of the horizon during
sunrises and sunsets. She enjoys capturing the vibrant and pastel colors of
these images, and preserving the wonder of such natural sights within a
photograph. Her work has been exhibited at Ashawagh Hall in Springs, NY,
Guild Hall in East Hampton, NY and 4 North Main
Street Gallery, the Madelle Semerjian Gallery & The Levitas Center for the
Arts in Southampton, NY. Her photography has also been published in Hamptons Magazine and the Southampton Press.
